1748: in Audun-le-Tiche – a small village in Lorraine – a factory is
established for porcelain production. Villeroy and Boch homewares is
born.

Renowned for their fine quality, beautiful designs and exquisite
porcelain, Villeroy and Boch have thrived through the ages. From the
advent of industrialisation to the modern German Innovation Awards,
their principles have not shifted – they set out to produce great
tableware, and they still do just that.

Design Naif is a truly unique collection for Villeroy and Boch. It was
designed by Corsican artist Gérard Laplau, who was instrumental in
creating the “naïve” art form, now recognised the world over for its
child-like subjects and technique.

collection is adorned with pastoral and biblical motifs signed by
