Made using the same intricate techniques of the 1800s, Blue Italian adopts a detailed Imari Oriental border, a pattern found in Japanese works. By contrast, this Asian frame encompasses a typical idyllic image of the Italian countryside, as it would have looked when Blue Italian was first launched. All of this is set against a crisp white earthenware base, creating a perfect balance.
